Kristin Marie Smith is originally from the east coast, grew up in Trumbull CT, and lived in NYC after getting her bachelor degree from Penn State. Kristin spent a decade in the digital field as a Customer Experience executive then switched careers to follow her passion of becoming a healthy chef and wellness coach.

Chef Kristin graduated from Natural Gourmet Institute (NGI, NYC) a leading health-supportive culinary chef program specializing in natural plant-based cuisine. Her culinary experience includes a Michelin-star restaurant (Blenheim, NYC), startup Indian restaurant (Babu Ji, NYC), private cooking classes (Hudson Table, NJ), a food startup incubator (Le Gourmet Factory, NJ), healthy meal delivery service (Food Made Fresh, CA), and world class spa (Cal-a-Vie, CA).


Chef Kristin has expertise with nutrition and diets that are focused on plant-based, gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, food sensitivities, gut health, and athletic performance. She also has plant-based and sports nutrition certifications which allows her to provide wellness and fitness coaching. She is a strong advocate of the idea that personal wellness should be approached holistically across food, activities, stress, and sleep.


Chef Kristin created Orange Kitchen, a licensed and insured California-based small business, focused on health supportive coaching, cooking classes, and products. Chef Kristin has completed all the state required food safety, handling, and sanitation certifications.
